Officers from Pskov customs detected 74 thousand packs of cigarettes inside spruce boards
74 thousand packs of cigarettes with Belarusian excise stamps were found by officers of the Federal Customs Service of Russia and Pskov customs during the inspection of a batch of lumber being moved to Estonia. Packs of cigarettes were hidden in mechanical caches inside some of the boards. In total, 3.7 thousand spruce boards were equipped with caches. In every hidden cavity, the customs officers found two packs of cigarettes.
A criminal case under part 1 of article 200.2 of the criminal code of the Russian Federation has been initiated on the fact of illegal movement of tobacco products in a large amount. Investigative actions are being carried out.
